During the Extraordinary Congress of the International Swimming Federation (FINA) held in Budapest on 19 June 2022, Marc Cavaliero was appointed Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer within the newly-created FINA Aquatics Integrity Unit (AQIU).

Marc will be responsible, amongst others, for:

• gathering, receiving and investigating complaints on potential integrity code violations;

• asserting integrity code violations against Covered Persons within FINA Rules;

• filing petitions and prosecuting cases at the Adjudicatory Chamber, CAS ADD and CAS Appeals Arbitration Division, as applicable;

• acting as the main point of contact between FINA and any third-party to which FINA has delegated anti-doping responsibilities;

• acting as the main point of contact on behalf of FINA and any other third-party on matters involving potential integrity code violations;

• supporting the chairperson of the AQIU Supervisory Council in engaging with external stakeholders of the AQIU.
